Environmental Policy Statement

At Kanvas Interiors, we recognise that while our works improve the office environment, our operations can have a direct impact on the natural and human environment.

That’s why we have set out our own Environmental Policy to consider the environmental implications of our activities, not only complying with, but going beyond all relevant legislation and regulations to minimise any adverse effects they may have.

This policy aims to encourage sound environment practices throughout all Kanvas Interiors projects.

We document, implement and maintain our own systems and procedures to ensure effective use of resources, prevent pollution and reduce waste and emissions eg substituting high VOC (volatile organic compound) for low VOC products where possible.

These environmental practices, objectives and targets are constantly reviewed to ensure continual environmental improvement. In addition we actively seek the co-operation of our clients, sub-contractors, suppliers, designers, as well as all employees, in carrying out our policy.

Some of the issues addressed during fit out/refurbishment:
  • Waste management and reduction – the volume of waste is a main environmental issue at this stage, so we operate a strategic site process of planning, segregation, minimization, recycling, salvage and re-use.
  • Consideration of neighbours – noise and dust, delivery time/frequency/load size
  • Managing well-being of building occupiers – minimising noise, dust etc
  • Travel planning – transport of materials, tools and operatives
