Following successful projects that we completed for them in Sheffield, Manchester and Cardiff, our long-term clients, Russell Jones & Walker appointed us to carry out the refurbishment of their new offices in Chancery Lane, London. This included a brand-new reception area, break-out, cellular spaces and open plan offices.

To provide a comprehensive and cohesive sustainability service for our client, our team worked alongside Re-Thinking to deliver a systematic means to explore ways of increasing sustainability performance on the project and to determine what our client wanted to achieve. For example, a specific BREEAM rating or Carbon Neutrality.

Alongside this, we undertook an occupancy survey which focused on the quality of the building, the working environment and the perceived staff productivity in the existing office space. An exercise that was undertaken three months after occupation of the new building to evaluate how the new office space compared after fit out.

FEATURES
Project features included complete strip out of the lower ground floor to create a reception area and the refurbishment of three floors of the building dedicated to staff, with mainly open plan and several cellular offices, showers, spacious staff break-out/game areas and kitchen facilities. The entire 5th Floor of the building was dedicated to meeting suites and client lounge. We used creative furniture solutions to create private areas and informal meeting space.
